Sponge cake for health
Home made chocolates and cakes are very much into trend these days. Most of the people prefer preparing yummy chocolates and cakes at home to ensure a safe yet delicious preparation. The basic reason is because of the increasing number of diseases and ailments that are actually hampering health of children and others in the family.
Preparing cake does not mean that you have to compromise on taste rather you can make even more delicious cake at home.
To make a yummy and delicious black forest cake at home, follow the steps below:
Prepare a Sponge Cake
• Mix 150 grams of plain gram flour or maida, one and half teaspoon (tsp) of baking powder, and one-fourth tsp of soda bi-carbonate.
• Mix d these three ingredients well with your hand.
• In another container mix 3 tablespoon (tbsp) of butter, 200 grams of condensed milk (milkmaid), and 1 tsp vanilla essence.
• Mix them well and add drinking soda or water according to the consistency of the cake. It should have a flowing consistency.
• After that grease one aluminum tin and pour the mixture into the greased tin.
• Bake the cake at 180 degree Celsius for about 30 to 40 minutes.
• Sponge cake is ready now.
Prepare the Black Forest Icing
• Cut the sponge cake horizontally into two layers.
• Whisk the cream well with the beater.
• Place one layer of the sliced cake and cover it with cream.
• Over that place grated chocolates and some cherries.
• Over that place the other layer and then again cover with cream.
• The final coating you can decorate with grated chocolate, chocolate chips, cherries, and silver beads.
